Maintaining Commitment and Consistency – Part 1
The next principle is to present consistency whenever a commitment is first made, especially when it’s done publicly.
This is often tied to being socially conscious.
We tend to follow through with our plans when there are others “watching” us.
Although doing this can lead to being careless with consistency, it can also produce opposite outcomes.
When we are able to stay consistent with small actions, we can do the same with large acts later.
Consistency is something that often starts in small ways, which grows in further time.
Once someone commits to the little request, they tend to feel obliged to agree to the next request after some time.
Even though the request may be bigger than the first, they are likely to still accept it.
